At Aerobotics7 (A7) we build autonomous AI-enabled Drone-Tech that can remotely detect and identify landmines, UXOs and other similar buried explosives such as Explosives Remnants of War (ERWs). Unlike the current manual demining approach, it is significantly safer and more than 50x faster than traditional approaches. It has the capability of detecting modern composite (plastic-based) landmines and explosives, which are undetected by current methods. It also gives users accurate positioning of mines and even the capability of remotely detonating them. Aerobotics7 has been recognized by world leaders, Nobel laureates and international organizations.

We are looking for an ambitious and talented Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on robotics in designing and prototyping components for autonomous drones. You will play a vital role in conceptualizing and creating mechanical components that are efficient, reliable, and scalable for production.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
• Conduct and analyze tests to gauge the performance and durability of various mechanical components.
• Employ CAD tools to develop and simulate mechanical systems, ensuring optimal design and functionality.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in mechanical design and robotics.
• Propose enhancements in design, materials, or manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implement rapid prototyping techniques to accelerate design iteration and refinement.
• Conceptualize, design, and prototype mechanical components for our AI-enabled drone technology.
• Collaborate with the R&D team and other cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing-ready designs.

Requirements:

• Solid experience with CAD tools, such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with drone technology is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in rapid prototyping techniques and technologies.
• Extensive knowledge of robotics, dynamics, kinematics, and control systems.
• Experience with design for manufacturability and understanding of different manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with material properties and material selection in design.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.
