Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D modeling software is required.

Detail-oriented pipe designer in SOL|IDWORKS or similar 3D CAD Software.

Familiarity with AutoCAD 2D design software is highly recommended.

Typical Responsibilities: Work with Engineering Department on new Assembly Designs

• Create shop fabrication drawings and BOMs
• Check shop work against GA and fabrication drawings
• Source quotes from vendors on necessary items
• Utilize the current drawing library and expand 3D library
• Assist all office locations with drawing questions, etc.
• Create assembly approval drawings based on quotes and customer POs
• Learn the fundamentals of our product lines and ancillary components
• Check other Engineering Department drawings for correctness
• Keep organized records of all engineered projects
• Create new General Arrangement Assembly and Shop Fabrication Drawings
• Handle correspondence on drawing approvals with customers
• Create new part numbers and assemblies in Prophet 21 work management system
