Mechanical Building Systems Design Department Head

Managing projects and a team of engineers to complete projects from design to completion involving mechanical building systems for commercial, institutional, and hospitality industries. Developing HVAC systems including air, water, and mechanical systems using load and ventilation calculations that meet local and national mechanical codes and standards. Preparing and performing quality control of construction drawings, Preparing technical specifications, performing design calculations and system selection, performing field surveys.

Client interfacing for mechanical discipline, Supervising design team, delegating resources between projects and tasks, coordinating between disciplines, and executing BIM plans.

Requirements:

• Management of multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience executing BIM plans, including knowledge of best practices
• Revit Proficiency
• Supervise design team
• Delegate resources
• Writing skills - ability to put together a report for a client in an orderly/professional fashion
• Ability to Communicate Effectively While Managing Multiple Workloads and Clients
• Prep of tech specs
• Client interface for mechanical discipline
• Coordinate between disciplines
• HVAC systems design
• Review shop drawings
• BS Mechanical Engineering
• Prep and QC of construction drawings
• Experience Working in Mechanical HVAC Design
• Perform field surveys
