Job Description

****Pay determined by experience - $50,000 - $150,000 yearly****

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:

  • Be the vehicle expert. Exhibit knowledge of product offerings, optional packages, and the latest technology.
  • Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and how it benefits the customers.
  • Build relationships and create customers for life. Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Follow scheduled hours as needed, defined by your manager.
  • Maintains a prospect development system and actively prospects new and former customers.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business.
  • Works to resolve customer issues professionally and quickly, during and after the sale, and always includes the Sales Manager.
  • Leads customers through the entire sales process, such as demonstrating vehicles (including test drives), and guarantees customer satisfaction that aligns with the Company’s core values.

Education:

  • Associates degree in business or a related field is preferred.
  • High school degree or equivalent is preferred.

Type of Experience Needed to be Successful:

  • 1 year of previous automotive sales experience is preferred.

Specialized Skills:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
  • Must maintain a valid state driver’s license to drive any customer or company vehicle.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills within all interactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication abilities include giving full attention to what other
  • Broad knowledge of all types of vehicles.
  • Basic MS Office Suite knowledge; computer software/internet proficiency.
  • People are saying, asking questions as appropriate, and managing and understanding others’ reactions.

Supervisory Expectations:

  • The position has no regular responsibility for overseeing or supervising the work of other team members.

Independence of Action:

  • The supervisor/manager monitors work progress; the incumbent follows precedents and procedures and may set priorities and organizes work within general guidelines established by the supervisor/manager.
