Our Academic Product Creation team is seeking a detail-oriented Math Content Editor contractor to ensure the quality and accessibility of our materials, while catching any errors and improving overall content. Your expertise in mathematics and keen editorial skills will be invaluable as you work to level the playing field in education and make test preparation accessible to all students.
As a Math Content Editor Contractor You Will
This is a 1099 contractor engagement and that is projected to involve 1-5 hours of contribution per week with more hours based on availability.

• Report issues accurately through a ticketing system
• Ensure proper use of math terms and critical path for problem-solving
• Review answer explanations and evaluate lesson content for accuracy and accessibility to students
• Maintain consistency in style and quality of produced content
• Communicate regularly with the Managing Editor regarding deadlines, feedback, and work progress

Requirements

• Test-prep experience, high standardized test scores, and an education background preferred
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and consistently produce quality work with a prompt turnaround time of 1-2 calendar days
• A degree or teaching certification that proves mastery in Math
• Excellent writing skills, including accurate descriptions of errors and changes, and clear edit-tracking
• Able to quickly learn new technology and enforce detailed standards according to style guides
• Reliable internet connection
• Mastery of high school-level mathematics (up to pre-calculus)
• Respect for individuals' diverse experiences and the ability to work effectively with people from a variety of backgrounds
• Deep belief in the potential of all students and a passion for MasteryPrep’s mission
• Proficient in essential tools, including Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Office Suite, Dropbox, Adobe Acrobat, and screen-capture/ recording software

Compensation
This is a 1099 contract position. All contractors will be paid by assignment and only upon completion. Assignments are compensated at a rate of $30/hour by assignment completion.
