Job Summary
JRM is looking for a safe, dependable, hardworking materials driver. We typically transport construction equipment and job site materials to and from various projects throughout New York City and occasionally in New Jersey. This is Not a Freight Position; all drivers are required to work as movers and are able to lift up to 50lbs
Responsibilities and Duties
- Inspects all orders being received and shipped, checking for damage, defective parts, and missing items
- Assist in maintaining warehouse organization.
- Daily driving of van in NYC and New Jersey.
- Loading and unloading trucks by hand and forklift.
- Stocking and inventory control of the warehouse.
- Deliver materials & equipment to multiple job sites in a timely & safe manner.
Physical Demands
This position is active and frequently requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Qualifications
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize workflows.
- Clean driver's license with no accidents nor moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Should be able to carefully pack/wrap items to be moved
- Excellent knowledge of NYC and the surrounding areas
- Previous experience driving & transporting construction equipment for a commercial construction company, rental operation, or similar environment preferred.
- Skilled / Effective Truck Loading
- Exhibits a Safety 24/7 attitude in all situations.
- May be required to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Requires solid and timely communication skills with Management and Field Teams.
Salary Information
To the extent this position is performed in New York City, the hourly range for this role is $30-$40 per hour.
The range stated is specific to New York City. Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, project size capability (for Construction related & Field specific roles) and internal company equity.
