Primary Employment Objectives


The Material Coordinator is responsible for performing and reporting daily cycle counts as well as the material movement and transactions. The incumbent is also in charge of proper storage.


People


SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Work closely and support the Warehouse Coordinator
  • Material request forms required from Team Leads or Supervisors requesting material must be completed timely to ensure qty moves are done.


Process


  • Maintain processes and procedures for cycle counting, material movement, personally handling these transactions.
  • Quantity Moves or lack of material issues escalated to Material Supervisor daily.
  • Ensure all of the above inventory control and warehousing requirements ultimately are properly entered in Galvion's ERP system.
  • Maintain an inventory control process to ensure the accurate accounting of all materials.
  • Monitor negative report daily to ensure proper transactions daily.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and housekeeping requirements.
  • Maintain a warehousing process for proper storage and identification of all materials with the warehouse coordinator.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed.
  • Quantity Moves done within an hour of picking materials.


Performance


  • Ensure cycle counts are completed daily and material transactions completed at the time of move
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skill & Experience Requirements


  • Experience and willingness to work in a ‘hands on' environment.
  • Team-oriented
  • High school diploma or equivalent with directly applicable experience.
  • Must be good with numbers, capable of writing legibly and communicating clearly.
  • Fork lift operator license preferred (will provide training)
  • Knowledge of purchasing, logistics, inventory control and shipping/receiving preferred.
  • Must hold a valid drivers liscence and pass the DMV background check.
  • Willingness, flexibility and commitment required to succeed in a high demand, broad responsibility, and start-up team environment.
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems is a must
  • 2+ years of Materials or Warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.


Work environment (include physical requirements)


  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must regularly lift and move up to 30 pounds.
  • Hearing, respiratory and eye protection MAY BE required.
