Overview


1st shift Material Handler Position!


Material Handler


Summary/Objective:


This position will perform physical tasks to transport or store materials. This position will support manufacturing efforts through efficient transportation, storage, pulling and staging various materials. The position will be able to operate company forklifts and vehicles safely.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Compliance to the LTE QMS or other procedure requirement
  • Ability to move parts to meet delivery schedules
  • Up keep and maintenance of equipment assigned and personal equipment issued
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Verify counts, weights, and record number of units moved, handled or shipped out
  • Ability to support manufacturing by supplying direct help when needed
  • Attach tags or labels to material or mark information on cases, bins, pallets or other containers

Qualifications:


  • Physical Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to walk, stand, sit, push, pull, reach above shoulders, fine repetitive motion, bend, stoop, climb ladder, ability to lift 25 to 75 pounds continuously for long periods of time up to 8 hours per day
  • Work Experience: Two years of forklift operations experience
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary
  • Organization Skills: Maintain clean and organized work space
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate within a team setting
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Cross-functional Skills: Ability to work and handle multiple job assignments
