Responsibilities

Job Summary:

This role moves product in the warehouse and to and from production areas. This job requires working with many departments to get product moved, received and shipped on a timely basis. The Material Handler must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is a team player with prior warehouse experience and a continuous improvement mindset. This position in located in Waunakee, WI.

Essential Job Functions

• Put product away in assigned locations with proper skid tags attached
• Accurately issue, count and pull product from racks for delivery to various production areas
• Inventory and cycle count product as instructed
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and order pickers to move, pick or put away product
• Load and unload trucks as necessary
• Verify incoming product counts and receive into system
• Review scheduled tasks to ensure product is issued on a timely basis
• Wrap, weigh and prepare mail skids for shipment. Place skids in shipping lanes

Qualifications

Skills & Educational Requirements:

• Ability to work under deadline pressure
• Experienced with forklifts, riding pallet jacks and man-up order pickers
• Good communication skills
• Strong counting and reading ability
• Strong interpersonal skills
• General knowledge of shipping carriers and services
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Minimum one year experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Works well independently as well as in a team environment
• Must have good keyboard and computer skills
