Job Description
Your responsibilities


Summary of Position:


To accurately provide inventory information for company-controlled material stock. Participate


in all activities for physical inventory. Monitor, organize and maintain inventory of company


product at multiple branch locations. The Material Control Operator II has a full understanding


of and can perform any and all material control activities at the branch for all commodities.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags and reassignments
  • Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, compliance and Lean initiatives and requirements
  • Ability to access and work in SAP or other Warehouse Management System
  • Assist quality assurance team in activities related to credits
  • Assist in internal and external material audits
  • Identify material shortages and issues, and communicate to appropriate staff
  • Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean up
  • Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements
  • Complete all cycle count functions
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements; prepare and submit inventory investigations and adjustments
  • Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material
  • Meet all other TKMNA employee attributes and competencies.
  • Ability to access and work in SAP or other Warehouse Management System
  • Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or direct from the mill
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
  • Perform verification of scrap
  • Locate and verify inventory discrepancies
  • Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, compliance and Lean initiatives, requirements, and/or trainings
  • Train other material control personnel as needed

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Ability to read, write, and speak and understand fluent English
  • Meet ITAR compliance – This position requires access to export-controlled technical data. Employment is contingent upon OneBox’s ability to obtain all necessary export authorizations
  • Knowledge of all database programs used and their impact on material control functions (to include Titan, MASS, and/or SAP as required)
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Proven high level of attention to detail and accuracy in written work and data entry, including stock locations and tag accuracies
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing (including e-mail), and to train others.
  • Solid proficiency using MS Office software, particularly with Excel and Outlook


Preferred requirements:


  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Material Control Operator
  • College coursework leading toward completion of at least a 2-year degree
  • Demonstrated initiative to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to perform daily tasks efficiently with little Supervisor interaction
