Job Description

Essentra Components is immediately hiring for an Marketing Operations Manager to lead our Americas marketing team and help us scale our marketing programs to build and maintain a healthy lead funnel managed through our CRM system D365 CE. You will collaborate closely with our Americas sales team to optimize our marketing automation efforts, increase engagement, analyse & optimize return-on-investment, and drive revenue growth. This role will report into the global head of Customer Acquisition.

Essentra Components operates a digital-first marketing approach, but also includes some traditional marketing tactics. The Americas Marketing Operations team is responsible for the creation and delivery of assets to support global and regional marketing campaigns to acquire new customers. The role is responsible for all digital and non-digital marketing programs in the region


The role is key in ensuring that marketing activities are executed on time and to the standards outlined in the brand guidelines and will constantly look for ways in which to improve and enhance activities to improve effectiveness. An understanding of Essentra Components customers and markets is needed, along with the ability to work with campaign owners to understand and challenge their campaign briefs. The Marketing Operations Manager will manage a direct team of creative and digital resources, both internal and external, to turn campaign briefs into marketing campaigns.

Marketing Strategy and Planning

  • Apply Essentra Components global brand identity guidelines across all marketing activity, including digital execution such as e-catalogs and non-digital executions such as products and product samples.
  • Create and optimize marketing campaign workflows to ensure a smooth flow of qualified leads into the sales pipeline.
  • Partner with the Head of Customer Acquisition (global level) and Americas Sales VPs to develop and update the 3-year marketing strategy designed to drive acquisition of new customers, in line with global corporate strategy.
  • Partner with the Head of Portfolio Strategy (global level) and the Americas Sales VPs to develop a 3-year pipeline of new products that meet customer needs in the Americas region.

Annual Marketing Plan Execution

  • Lead the development of annual marketing plan and annual budget for the Americas region, including the key markets of US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and expansion into wider Latin America.
  • Partner with the Product Management Team to launch new products and services in the Americas region.
  • Partner with the global e-CRM Manager manage email process – layout, content, messaging, review and segmentation, list management, and measurement. Support marketing automation infrastructure and architecture to achieve outstanding campaign execution, reporting, and analytics
  • Manage annual marketing spending to budget, monitor return on investment, and optimize annual marketing plan to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Deploy marketing campaigns through the primary marketing channels of email and the Essentra Components website. Work with platform vendors such as Dot Digital (ESP) and Magnolia (CMS) to optimise the platforms and the usage of them.
  • Partner with the Head of Digital Customer Acquisition (global) to maintain a robust analytics program to measure ROI and to optimize future campaigns.
  • Translate commercial requirements into marketing activation such as email campaigns, microsites, landing pages, and marketing automation solutions.
  • Partner with the sales team to develop and deliver annual revenue growth targets though new customer acquisition.
  • Develop an annual content calendar for the Americas region, leveraging content created by our central content marketing team, and adapting it as needed for relevancy to customers in the Americas region.

Team Leadership

  • Develop and coach the Americas Marketing Operations Team of approximately 5 direct reports.
  • Develop and implement a culture, with supporting activities/programs, to drive Employee Engagement within the Americas marketing team.


Who we are looking for:

  • Operating in a multi-national matrix organisation
  • Leading a marketing team with a focus on marketing automation and customer acquisition (5+ years of experience preferred)
  • Identifying target audiences and devising effective commercial programs
  • B2B Marketing Operations Manager or similar role (8+ years of experience preferred)
  • Understanding of lead management processes, including lead scoring, nurturing, and audience segmentation.
  • CMS platforms, CRM systems, preferably D365 CE, and integrating them with marketing automation platforms.
  • Knowledge of email marketing best practice and methods to maintain list health and deliverability
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
