JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled Marketing Associate to join our team and contribute to the planning and execution of our marketing and advertising initiatives. We’re looking for a self-proclaimed “marketing nerd” who thrives on wearing multiple hats and working collaboratively. As a Marketing Associate, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting brand marketing, lead generation, and pipeline development activities to generate qualified leads and business opportunities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Brand Marketing
·Build social media calendar and write captions for social posts based on content calendar and industry news.
·Create branded graphics and sales & marketing collateral (one pagers, presentations, diagrams, and misc. graphics) in Canva that meet brand standards.
·Write & schedule press releases as needed and disseminate to other industry-related media channels to drive brand awareness
·Support the logistics and planning of marketing events and tradeshows.
·Support the marketing editorial calendar by ensuring all created collateral is up to date in Marketing Libraries (SharePoint & ClickUp).
Lead Generation / Pipeline Development
·Support inbound/outbound marketing activities by drafting content (collateral, lead magnets, etc.), ensuring it corresponds with the overall content strategy and buyer’s journey and aligns with the brand voice.
·Understand and help keep the Deck Commerce buyer personas up to date to ensure effective marketing messaging and content creation that resonates with the identified target audience
·Leverage HubSpot content management system (CMS) to build and update website pages, landing pages, and webforms to increase website traffic and conversions
·Build email marketing campaigns in HubSpot to nurture contacts and drive engagement
·Support the sales team by keeping competitor insight pages and battlecards up to date.
Misc.
·Work with outside agencies and marketing-related vendors
·Stay up to date on marketing, retail, and SaaS trends, and technology trends to position Deck Commerce as a thought leader
·Provide support to broader Revenue team as needed
·Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
·Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university
Experience
·3-5 years related marketing experience
·SaaS, ecommerce, supply chain, or OMS experience preferred
Licenses or Certifications
Experience and/or certifications with the following tools/organizations preferred:
·HubSpot (marketing software, inbound marketing, content marketing, email marketing, etc.)
Skills and Abilities
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Experience with HubSpot, Canva, ClickUp, and Google Analytics strongly preferred
- Graphic design experience a plus, but not required
- Knowledge of order management/ecommerce/SaaS market preferred.
- Ability to write and edit coherent, engaging, grammatically correct correspondences
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
- Knowledge of marketing principles including buyer personas, the buyer’s journey, and aligning content creation with a strategic marketing plan
