Market Risk SME - Houston TX - Commodity Trading - Circa 30% bonus - Competitive Salary

Cititec has partnered with a privately owned commodity trading firm searching for a Market Risk SME on a permanent basis. The title will be Market Risk Business Analyst.

The Market Risk Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in analysing and managing market risks associated with the firm's trading activities across various commodity markets. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the risk management team, traders, and technology professionals to ensure effective risk monitoring, reporting, and mitigation strategies.

Experience in:

● Market Risk - VaR (Market Risk Value-At-Risk) computations, Sensitivities, Greeks computations

● Technical skills - SQL, Microsoft Excel/words, JIRA, Confluence, Agile methodology

● Solid understanding of financial markets, commodity markets, and derivatives products.

● Previous experience in market risk management, risk analysis, or related roles within the commodity trading industry.

● Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and data modelling.

● Familiarity with risk management frameworks, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

● Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
