Job Summary
The role of the Area Loss Prevention Manager is to be responsible for monitoring the loss prevention and shortage control programs for their city market. The Area Loss Prevention Manager is responsible for meeting or exceeding the city market shortage goals. The Area Loss Prevention Manager provides development, documentation and analysis of Area market shortage reduction programs. This individual supports the Loss Prevention Regional Manager in investigations, training store associates and addressing shortage related issues in all city market stores.

Job Functions
Assist Loss Prevention Regional Manager with internal investigations and must exercise discretion and independent judgement.
Ensures that all associates receive loss prevention awareness training, standards for associates regarding emergency procedures; robbery, fire, etc., plus Traditions of Excellence materials are distributed properly and ensures associate awareness materials are posted in the stores, plus promotes associate awareness through support of all customer approach programs.
Directs/assists store management with investigations, interviews and case procedure, plus compliance with company policy and procedure.
Regularly reviews loss prevention exception reports, reviews cash discrepancies and all other applicable reports to keep stores within allowable shortage guidelines.
Ensures programs to prevent and detect external and internal theft are followed, plus proficient in covert camera installation.
Manages and recommends the hiring, advancement, promotion or any other change of status of Loss Prevention Associates in an assigned area, plus conducts all Loss Prevention reviews.
Actively participates in shortage reduction program, has working knowledge of high shortage departments, analyzes shortage results to allocate resources, plus monitors and reviews paperwork systems and procedures to prevent shortage through errors.
Ensures proper follow up regarding implementation of store shortage reduction plans, plus assists stores in developing action plans.
Support city market stores through strategy scheduling of city market team.
Build and maintain relationships with all levels with an emphasis on SM.
Knowledge & Skills
Familiar with standard PC’s and business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc.)
Ability to operate standard phone, calculator and other business machines
Ability to operate photographic and video equipment
