Job Description
Position Description


Uses technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment. Performs duties associated with the setup of a variety of production equipment to produce quality products.


Job Responsibilities


  • Performs various machining or bench operations to alter and repair tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, gauges and guarding
  • Assist with setup of production line(s)
  • Troubleshoots and repairs equipment; performs preventative maintenance
  • Ability to repair battery during kickoff or in the repair department
  • Zone boards, fill in for Operators in the zone, torque checks and document properly and timely, etc
  • Maintains structures, electrical systems, heating systems, plumbing, machine repair, hydraulics systems for a variety of equipment
  • Ability to lead the assigned team/zone
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Job Skill Requirements


  • Good teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Fluent in English as a primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
  • Intermediate troubleshooting skills using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic knowledge
  • Ability to operate forklift

Education


High School diploma in or equivalent education and experience


Experience Requirements


1.5 years of technical experience using mechanical, electrical and hydraulic skills


Certifications Preferred


Forklift certification required


Physical & Environmental Requirements


  • Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
  • Exposure to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
  • Ability to stand and/or walk constantly over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
  • May be required to lift or carry products, parts, and/or other materials of various sizes and weights. (Frequently 5 – 25 pounds), (Occasionally 25 – 75 pounds), (Rarely greater than 75 pounds)
  • Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
  • Ability to use power/vibrating tools over a full work shift (8-12 hours)
