Description


The Project Director is responsible for leading manufacturing projects in partnership with the Manufacturing Operations Leadership Team and capable of driving cross-functional projects to completion. This person will work closely with Manufacturing Operations Management to support the achievement of department goals, technology transfers, interdepartmental readiness, and batch release requirements. This person will work closely in support of technology transfers and all activities directly supporting campaign readiness. This role exists to provide key support for the Manufacturing leadership team to deliver business results by working with teams to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve existing issues, and taking accountability for rigorous execution and delivery. Additionally, more is expected of the incumbent with respect to consultation and mentoring, leading, and driving projects that will have direct positive impact on the business.?


  • Leadership, business acumen, efficient collaboration, persuasive communication with key stakeholders across the organization and achievement of results are the key focus area of the job.
  • Plan and execute plant projects as directed. This includes preparing scope of work, preparing cost estimate and project justification, preparing all change control documentation, selecting vendors, supervising contractors, coordinating project commissioning and startup, and compiling final project documents for project close-out.
  • Incumbent must be able to understand the high-level picture of the entire process, strategize and put a comprehensive executable plan which is measurable.
  • ?Own, manage and monitor: Technology transfers, campaign support and readiness, capital projects.
  • ?Manage projects from concept to completion; create and manage project plans, work cross-functionally to ensure right first time and provide adequate training to impacted areas.?
  • Encourage an environment where all members are in sync with our company needs, agile in our mindset and able to provide ingenuity in our response to deliver efficient and effective operations.
  • Responsible for generation of progress reports for various stakeholders
  • ??Work with senior staff on assisting in the planning and execution of larger, more complex problems and projects.
  • Manages agreed remediation plans where applicable and ensure stakeholders accountability and awareness


Requirements


Education and Experience:


  • Prior GMP experience manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
  • Requires excellent project and program management skills with systematic approaches to problem solving.
  • 10+ years relevant management experience in delivering functional services and expertise to support manufacturing.
  • Must be able to break down complex problems and tasks into activities capable of being performed by personnel.
  • BS/MS in related discipline; MBA preferred, but not required.
  • PMP Designation preferred
