Job Description
Culimeta-Saveguard, an MRA member, is recruiting for a permanent, full-time Manufacturing Operations Manager in Eau Claire, WI.


The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for daily oversight of the production operations through proper leadership and direction of the site. This position is directly responsible for leading the advancement of production operations and ultimately responsible to ensure that each manufacturing shift manufactures materials in accordance with all company procedures, approved product specifications, and all quality testing and/or machine specific procedures. The position is a liaison between the manufacturing operations and all other internal teams to ensure our customer expectations have been met in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Manufacturing Operations Manager assigns and leverages resources to maximize both long and short-term profit goals and encourages teamwork within the organization for meeting those goals. The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for the overall viability, health, and growth of the business.

  • Manage overall operating expenses, capital projects and expenditures, and budgets.
  • Collaborate effectively with others across the business including Quality, Human Resources, Operations, Sales and Engineering to achieve commitments.
  • Direct and coordinate material purchases, product sales, and distribution.
  • Oversee and engage in hiring and talent development activities.
  • Negotiate and/or approve contracts or agreements with suppliers, distributors, customers, or other organizational entities.
  • Maintain an excellent working relationship with customers, suppliers, and employees.
  • Identify and oversee implementation of continuous improvement activities.
  • Report key results to business directors and management.
  • Engage with business directors in organizational strategic planning.
  • Coordinate the development of key performance indicators and oversee the achievement of these goals.
  • Oversee daily operations of the business.
  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets and operation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards per company policy, ISO 9001, and IATF 16949 standards.
  • Identify capital projects for both the growth and ongoing success of the business.
  • Manage compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Manage and monitor overall plant performance in production, delivery and product quality.
  • Provide leadership for employees through effective communications, coaching, training, development, discipline, assigning accountabilities, and appraising results.


Education and/or Experience:


  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Experience working with and understanding the requirements of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 is highly preferred.
  • Able to develop and set strategy, encourage fresh thought, understand the business, and communicate effectively. Will have a strong business acumen. Will have a collaborative leadership style that demonstrates confidence, assertiveness, sound judgement, and a straightforward approach to interpersonal relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in area of specialty and 5 years of experience in the field OR a bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in the field OR 10 or more years of experience in the field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in supervising the work of and coaching others.
