Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

To develop, lead and manage the manufacturing and maintenance activities; to work with all departments to produce quality products for all Customers.Lead performance improvement efforts andensure there is a safe work environment that fosters continuous improvement, employee involvement and a well-trained workforce.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Determine staffing requirements and communicate with Human Resources on plant needs.
  • Motivate and develop the cost-effective alternatives and improvements of the production process.
  • Oversee scheduling for work, Employee evaluations, training, and equipment utilization.
  • Establish and implement departmental policies, budgets, objectives, and procedures to meet the strategic goals of the Company.
  • Direct and oversee the workflow to satisfy the production requirements in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Ensure a safe work environment through training, compliance, and safety committee.
  • Work closely with COO on SMI operational execution and excellence.
  • Develop, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes. Identify opportunities for technological improvements, equipment upgrades and process changes.
  • Direct and communicate strategy for all manufacturing and maintenance managers.
  • Plan, coordinate and direct the manufacturing products in compliance with the objectives and goals of the Company.
  • Implement Company policies and procedures.
  • Negotiate revisions in production schedules as required by material availability and production facilities.
  • Be an integral part of our ERP system development and implementation.
  • Lead adherence and execution of ISO standards, to include yearly audit participation.
  • Overall operational responsibilities for the Idaho and Nevada plants.Departmental responsibilities per organization chart.
  • Coordinate all production activities to satisfy Company and Customer requirements as cost effectively as possible.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Lean Manufacturing and Quality Control experience
  • Ability to learn and understand all facets of our minting operation.
  • Modern manufacturing philosophies and techniques, such as: ISO 9000, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, etc
  • Good interpersonal skills/communication both written and verbal
  • Background experience in all aspects of Production
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with other management staff, Employees and Customers.
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills
  • Ability to successfully deal with multiple priorities and multitask and able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Must be bondable.
  • Good understanding of quality and manufacturing processes, implementation, and flow
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret Customer specifications, or technical procedures.
  • Critical thinking, leadership, and the ability to make good decisions essential.
  • In depth knowledge of equipment, material, and processes
