AvtechTyee is searching for a Manufacturing Manager: with project management experience and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to help position our company for new growth and improved social responsibility. Lean skills would be a real plus!

You will be working on the Operations team, in charge of our structures manufacturing.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
  • Develops, deploys, and sustains effective processes to ensure maximum utilization of material and people resources
  • Develops and executes strategies that optimize the cycle time of each product in each production line
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of teams and of processes
  • Oversees, plans and prioritizes department activities and resources
  • Establishes goals and improvement measures within respective area(s). Safety, product, process and procedural quality are departmental performance drivers.
  • Develops a responsive manufacturing organization with clearly defined authority, responsibility, and goals
  • Actively participates in and sponsors LEAN initiatives throughout respective area(s)
  • Continuously monitors and improves key metrics of labor efficiency, delivery performance, and first time quality (reducing scrap and customer returns).
  • Responsible for supervising Manufacturing Engineers to standardize work instructions and processes, and to improve tooling and equipment adequacy

And you will have
  • Previous experience managing and achieving budgetary requirements within a department
  • 5 years experience in the aerospace industry strongly preferred
  • 5 years successful management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Machine shop experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, Business or other relevant field
  • Previous experience recommending and initiating corrective actions

**Must be authorized to work in the U.S.**:
The wage/salary range for this role is $115k - $140k, depending on education and experience.
