Job Description
What to Expect
We are searching for Manufacturing Engineer Welding/Joining – Hemming and Dispensing Specialist. Candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of vehicle hemmed structures and adhesive/sealing dispensing applications.

Associated detailed responsibility include but not limit to, design for manufacturing, technology and equipment specification, vendor communication and sourcing, and equipment debug and support during installation/commissioning phase. Successful candidate will possess strong experience in automated pumpable material dispensing technology, hemming operations, and robotic control and operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead in-house development of novel and complex prototype of joining equipment or processes
  • Validate and characterize new equipment and process for production implementation
  • Define, coordinate, perform and document engineering test reports
  • Design for manufacturing of hemmed structures and adhesive/seal dispensing processes
  • Mechanical/electrical/software/control/data/algorithm
  • Train production counterparts to sustain equipment/processes to run at rate state
  • Problem identification and troubleshooting a variety of challenging
  • Mange equipment suppliers to design production equipment
What You’ll Bring
  • Proficiency in mechanical and adhesive bonded assemblies
  • Robotics subcategory
  • Hands-on experience with robot operations/programming (Fanuc and Kuka)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding robot program flow and basic programming theories
  • Familiarity of I/O signals of equipment
  • Ability to work as a team member and individually
  • Computing skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, CATIA, 3DX
  • BS, MS in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience automotive manufacturing
  • Prefer to have experience with match metal and dimensional issues
