Client Description:

Client is a manufacturer of parts for automotive industry like harness parts, precision parts, metal parts, plastic parts, interior components, clmps and fasteners etc.

Our client requirements:

A leading supplier of plastics and metal fastening products and technology

Products include: Plastic and metal fasteners for automotive market. This includes trim fasteners; fuel supply, springs, fuel cut valves, fuel pump brackets, and interior auto trim parts

Processes include: Plastic injection molding, metal stamping, wire bending and assembly

Equipment includes: 100+ Injection molding machines, progressive stamping machines, heat treat

Materials include: PP, Acetal, Nylon, PC-ABS, and TPE

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (BSME)

Manufacturing background (preferably automotive)

Preferred skills:

2-5 years of experience with Injection molding and or Metal Stamping (preferably automotive)

Project Management skills to manage projects from quotation to implementation

Processing knowledge to manage Tooling trials

Familiar with APQP process

Any CAD/CATIA experience is a plus

Responsibilities:

Manage tooling projects from design through mass production

Designing and building fixtures (10% CAD time)

Involved with the tool design review

Oversee the tool build from preproduction into mass production

Troubleshoot production issues as they relate to the tooling

Work with tool shop or out sourcing once tool is designed

Manage all preproduction events
