My name is David, and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a ­­­­­­­­Manufacturing Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in ­­San Antonio, TX. Details for the position are as follows:

• Onsite – Contract Position
• Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
• Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.
• Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
• Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
• Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.
• Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
• Resolve technical problems that could seriously impact performance, cost, or schedule
• Work in a cross-functional work environment including engineering, quality, product support, supplier management, and program management
• Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate a producible definition and investigate alternative solutions to meet producibility requirements
• Develop and implement manufacturing plans
• Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies.
• Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
• Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
• Pay Range - $53-$62
• Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
• Build technical data packages for use by suppliers

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience of assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities (e.g., composites, structures), and data needed for defining delivery configurations (e.g., design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, supplier data).
• Familiarity with aerospace parts/products
• Ability to read and interpret old 2D drawings
• STEM Degree
• Experience with multiple manufacturing processes such as forming, stamping, machining, bonding, and other techniques.
• Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft & CATIA
