MUST HAVE
· 5-7 years of manufacturing experience in development and optimization of new products and processes.
· Lead the development and integration of the production line to quickly come up to design rate.
· Documentation/design using SolidWorks, or Fusion 360 Design Suite.
· Experience implementing a product development process (APQP knowledge preferred).
· Familiarity with DOE, FMEA, and Taguchi methodologies preferred.
· Ability to use data to justify technical decisions and to explain technical issues clearly.
· Strong documentation and interpersonal skills and high attention to detail.
· A self-starter mindset with excellent time-management skills, a curious spirit and the willingness to work in fast-paced team.
· A proven ability to work independently under high pressure and be comfortable working in a multifaceted environment. Hands on experience in the assembling, checkout, and commissioning of tooling and fabrication equipment, i.e., know the difference between a box end and an open-end wrench.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design and release products to meet customer-specific form factors and requirements.
· Develop and implement APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) product development discipline across anode development activities.
· Conduct material, formulation, and design evaluations for new product versions or new generations of products, including active materials, additives and production techniques to create the finished anodes.
· Perform structured root cause analysis when necessary to achieve design and product goals.
· Execute cell DFMEAs to identify risk and manage mitigation.
· Develop and execute design validation test plan to validate cells to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
· Develop component, assembly, and quality level drawings and specifications enabling successful sourcing and manufacturing of product.
· Develop and execute tests to qualify component suppliers.
· Transfer design to manufacturing and support launch through PV (Process Validation) gates.
· Provide sustaining engineering support for ongoing product manufacturing. Willing to uncrate, assemble, and test hardware.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s, or Master’s in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering required; master’s degree preferred.
· 5-7 years of experience in validating new products and processes in the repetitive production setting.
