How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead a Manufacturing team for successful execution of a product through the shop (both preparedness and in process support of shop floor execution).
• Provide up-to-date EDM programs, posted code (manuscript), set-up documentation, and tooling information (tool list, tool offset values, etc) for EDM machined operations.
• Develop, write, test (simulates), correct and optimize EDM programs of numeric controlled tooling machinery and other plant equipment (e.g. coordinate measuring machine) by using CAD/CAM technology and methodology, including full 5-axis machining.
• Support product quality and improvements to minimize non-conformances (both proactive and reactive)
• Review drawing and other Design Engineering Documentation with respect to feasibility and determine the manufacturing machining plan and communicate plan to the appropriate Manufacturing Process Engineer.
• Design and manufacture tools/fixtures to be used in product manufacturing.
• Develop, determine, and describe the setups of the tooling machines (how to position and fix the workpiece and the tool in relation to the machine axes).

What You Bring

• Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• 8+ years of Manufacturing Experience
• Must network with cross-functional process owners and power users to create buy-in for change management activities
• Specific knowledge and experience in CAD/CAM technology and methodology in either MasterCam, NX, OpenMind
• Experience in a machine shop environment while possessing intimate working knowledge of manual machine methods (tool selection, speeds, feeds, HP)
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
• Associates Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering related field
• Ability to lead / interact with teams to obtain consensus in developing processes and standardizing information flow
• Experience implementing and/or improving manufacturing processes, information, facilities, and production planning in a shop environment
