What we offer:

• Starting Pay: $20-22/hr
• Competitive Wages: excellent hourly wage plus shift differential for afternoon and night shifts.
• Shift Differential: $0.35 for working afternoon or night shift
• Top Pay: $24-27.50/hr
• $1000 sign on bonus after six months working for Timken.

Purpose & Scope:

Set up and operate a variety of package bearings hard turning, grinding, inspection, and assembly equipment to produce package bearing assemblies to specifications.

Core Functions:

• Responsible for quality and quantity of work produced in assigned production area.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Replace worn or broken tooling grinding wheels, honing tape, honing stones, etc., as necessary.
• Performs adjustments to overcome size deviations and logs machines accordingly.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Performs various other related assignments: material handling, repairing nicks, clearing conveyor jams, and filing oil reservoirs.
• Follow all standards, certifications, and training manual procedures and specifications daily concerning tasks such as handling rejects and scrap.
• Utilizes various measuring tools to ensure products are conformed to visual and dimensional specifications.
• Follows the directions/instructions of the team leader and/or supervisor.
• Monitors all assigned machines.

General Qualifications & Experience:

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S
• Basic mathematical and mechanical skills are required.
• Proven record of reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and team skills.
• 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment or related education preferred.
• Strong attention to detail along with ability to multi-task.
• High School Diploma/GED required.

• Ability to lift to 35 pounds or more.

Physical Requirements:

• Activities such as lifting or pushing/pulling
• Verbal and written communication
• Activities where repetitive movement is required.

Environmental Conditions:

• May be exposed to environmental noise and/or seasonal heat.

Safety Requirements: Safety glasses (prescribed or non-prescribed), safety shoes and hearing protection are required on site.
