Deburring and Drill Press Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Use manual, pneumatic, and electric hand tools to deburr and put professional finish on parts according to drawing specifications. Operate timesavers wet sander, sandblaster, vertical belt sanders, pedestal grinders and deburring/finishing tumblers. Machine setup and operation of a manual drill press to countersink, tap, ream, drill, and counterbore. Drill press work includes manually laying out parts and using jigs/fixtures to meet precise tolerances on drawings. Operators will have to interpret blueprints and perform quality checks on completed jobs. Cross-train and perform other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Able to lift 50lbs and stand for entire 8-hour shift.
• 2 years of fabricating experienced preferred. Will train suitable candidate with less experience.
• Some knowledge of the metric system and basic hand tools is preferred.
• High attention to detail and able to follow written and verbal instruction.
