Job Description
Company Description

SquareTrade is the fastest growing company of its kind. We’re revolutionizing a $30b industry with service innovation and attention to customer satisfaction. We partner with some of the largest, most sophisticated retailers and carriers in the world (Amazon, Walmart, The Home Depot to name a few), consistently win industry awards, have received tens of thousands of 5-star reviews… and we’re just getting started. A member of the Allstate family, SquareTrade has headquarters in San Francisco and London. We are currently expanding in Europe and Asia Pacific, including Japan and Australia.

We are looking for a smart, driven individual to join our Operations team as a Supplier Partnerships Manager. The ideal candidate is a high-potential individual who is ready to solve interesting and challenging problems such as refining our supplier partnerships model to meet current and future needs, and reduce inefficiencies through deep data analysis. You will be responsible for establishing and managing relationships with new and existing suppliers, leading sourcing and logistics strategy and execution, collaborating with category experts to achieve business objectives, and applying analytical rigor to optimize our supply chain. In this high-visibility role, you'll work on supplier management, logistics, and sourcing initiatives that directly impact the success of SquareTrade’s business.

You're Our Ideal Candidate If You

  • Are analytically minded: you can not only come up with an idea (the "what's"), but the "why's", "how's", and "when's", too...along with the data to back it up
  • Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Have experience in logistics operations, and/or supply chain management
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle many tasks within a fast-paced, extremely dynamic environment
  • Enjoy collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners and suppliers to deliver business outcomes
  • Have a passion for operations with an interest in analyzing data, optimizing processes and identifying opportunities to drive product / service improvement
  • Demonstrate strong investigative skills to identify opportunities for improvement with minimal guidance or direction required
  • Driven to make an impact on the business: you’re scrappy and don’t give up

Qualifications

  • Advanced skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word are required; SQL knowledge is a plus
  • 3+ years of work experience in consulting, supply chain, or business operations
  • Strong analytical skills to drive fact-based decision making
  • Experience working with 3PLs, 4PLs, and/or 5PLs
  • A proven record of rolling up sleeves to execute on strategy
  • Some supplier management experience including designing and executing RFPs, RFQs, and driving performance via scorecards
  • BA or BS required; an MBA or Masters in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, or other advanced degree from a top school is a plus
  • Subject matter expertise in North American logistics operations with emphasis on B2C shipping, fulfillment, reverse logistics, cross-border shipping, and carrier partnership management

Additional Information

At SquareTrade you'll have access to:

  • Hybrid work arrangements
  • Reimbursement for in-home office setup
  • Inclusive fertility care plan
  • Paid volunteer time to give back to the community
  • Flexible paid time off plus a generous holiday schedule
  • Career experience programs, tuition reimbursement and unlimited access to online courses to support your professional growth
  • $80 monthly internet connectivity stipend
  • Supportive leave policies including paid parental, grieving and loss, and domestic violence protected leaves
  • Robust medical, dental and vision coverage with generous employer contributions tailored for our diverse workforce
  • Various corporate perks and discounts
  • $75 monthly allowance to support self-care and well-being
  • 5% company match into 401(k)
  • Open access to mental health benefits including 1:1 therapy, coaching sessions and digital resources

(California Only) Pursuant to applicable law, SquareTrade estimates the possible compensation for this role, if hired in California, to be within the following range: $135K - $155K.
