Manager - Shipping And Receiving

General Overview:

As a member of the plant management staff, the desired candidate will be responsible for:

• Develop, coach, and mentor direct reports and associates
• Promote and support team work between all associates
• Analyze current market and delivery conditions and the impact on material availability and production strategy
• Organize and maintain warehouse layout for optimization
• Prepare department operational and expense budget and manpower needs
• Manage on hand material on a FIFO basis
• Prepare and maintain work instructions regarding procedures and systems
• Coordination of physical inventory activities
• Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators
• Maintain working relationships with vendors and customers
• Support of new product launch activities and coordination of ECI changes
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Maintain efficient and timely routes of material flow within the facility

Requirements:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, or at least four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Minimum five years of supervision experience
