Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing physical security supporting global operations for multiple TMC/TAH sites. The role will implement security policies, regulations, rules, solutions and establish norms to make sure that the environment is safe for all associates and visitors/contractors. Managing and overseeing the security guard contracts and contractors, and delegating tasks and duties to them, as needed to secure all facilities, as appropriate.

Job Details/Responsibilities

  • Monitor security policies, programs, or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, licensing requirements, or applicable government security requirements, policies, and directives.
  • Budget management for security needs and in support of security contractors.
  • Collect and analyze security data to determine security needs, security program goals, or program accomplishments.
  • Develop and manage security budgets. Develop, gain approval for, and manage capital budgets as required.
  • Performs other job-related duties assigned.
  • Supervise subordinate security professionals, performing activities such as, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, or disciplining, when assigned.
  • Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
  • Prepare reports or make presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct physical examinations of property to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
  • Analyze and evaluate security operations to identify risks or opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct, support, or assist in governmental reviews, internal corporate evaluations, or assessments of the overall effectiveness of the facilities security processes.
  • Coordinate security operations or activities with public law enforcement, fire, and other agencies.
  • Plan, direct, or coordinate security activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or others on company property.
  • Work as liaison within contract security and other key stakeholders to ensure the efficacy of physical security for all assigned locations.
  • Identify, investigate, or resolve security breaches.
  • Assist in emergency management and contingency planning.
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events.
  • Communicate security status, updates, and actual or potential problems, using established protocols.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures as required and aligned with other key departments and teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA)

  • Budget and Management experience.
  • Knowledge of security systems which is transferable to a variety of systems, which may be used at various locations.
  • Strong project management experience with demonstrated results.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with key stakeholders at various locations to maintain safety in the workplace.
  • Profound communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to interface with all associates including Management and our Executive Staff.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the basic security management and physical security requirements for safe operations.
  • Ability to oversee the physical security functions for multiple buildings and locations.

Qualifications/ Background Experiences


  • Thorough understanding of security principles, including risk assessment and mitigation
  • A bachelor’s degree in security management, law enforcement or related field or 10 years’ relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant within security management or Office Management experience
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing physical security plans and procedures
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of access control systems and other security equipment
  • 10+ years of experience in security management, with 5+ years in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge and understanding of associated regulatory compliance to adhered to appropriate security standards
