Facilities Manager Jobs

Position Summary

This position is responsible for all functions that fall within the management and maintenance of the Facility. While not all functions are performed by this individual, it is their responsibility to contract and communicate with outside organizations that can provide the needed services. Additionally, this person is the primary contact for the Landlord of the Building and to manage the relationship and any issues pertaining to the building that is the responsibility of the owner.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and communicate with managers and process engineers of any equipment moves
• Conduct and document regular facilities inspections
• Ensure production area is clean and safe
• Schedule routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors
• Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
• Ensure that the facilities are fully operational with all utilities functioning properly
• Check completed work by vendors and contractors
• Responsible for the purchase of goods and services that directly impact the operation of the facility
• Operate and maintain custodial functions, including overseeing cleaning services to ensure they are completed satisfactory
• Ensure proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals
• Other duties as assigned
• Perform routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed
• Ensure replacement parts and other maintenance supplies are maintained within the approved budget
• Recommend maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications
• Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety and other occurrences for supervisors and other relevant staff

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined; general experience working with mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing etc.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on customer service
• Strong computer skills (MS Office suite)
• High School graduate or General Education Degree
• Strong project management, negotiation, and leadership skills; detail oriented and the ability to successfully complete all tasks in a fast-paced environment
• General knowledge of environmental regulations (i.e. OSHA etc.)
• 5+ years’ experience in related positions
