Job Description

Historically, the travel requirement for this position has ranged from 80-100%. KPMG is currently seeking a Manager to join our Advisory Services practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform data collection & analysis to interpret complex analysis; utilize results to drive narrative development to support project deliverables and presentation content for both internal KPMG teams and external clients
  • Assess current performance of healthcare organizations by conducting observations, interviews, document review, data-driven insights, and process mapping; be responsible for quantifying financial recurring and income statement benefit which is needed to determine future engagement return on investment (ROI)
  • Deliver results for process improvement and transformation engagements that span all aspects of revenue cycle operations within a traditional or non-traditional healthcare system/organization; lead team members to focus on solving complex operational issues, utilizing market leading technology-enabled solutions & advanced analytics in conjunction with exceptional healthcare knowledge
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational & financial outcomes across the different levels of healthcare organizations; develop high-quality work products utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data, as directed (including financial data, status reports, issue/risk logs, and so on)
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Work in teams assisting clients across the entire claim lifecycle; (engagement teams will be involved with assessing, validating, and benchmarking current operational performance and technology-enabled capabilities against healthcare leading practices and marketplace competitors)

Qualifications:

  • Progressive experience working on teams in a lead role with experience managing projects, leading meetings, drafting status reports, tracking issues, monitoring resources, workflow analysis & design; project experiences consist of financial, information technology, operational quality, & clinical process improvement within the Healthcare industry; solid understanding of revenue cycle concepts including financial clearance, insurance verification, financial counseling, patient estimations, registration functions, referral management, operational & financial metrics, industry leading practices, and key revenue cycle key performance indicators
  • High proficiency with foundational consulting skills such as analytical, written, and verbal communications, appropriate client presence, facilitation, and presentation abilities; strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Project, Word, Power Point, and Visio also required.
  • Minimum five years of recent consulting experience focused on revenue cycle operational or financial improvement, systems integration, or equivalent industry experience and demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare industry and functional leading practices; and can relate these to specific client challenges; minimum two years of recent direct supervisory experience, with preference of two to three years of experience managing teams
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university; preferred concentrations include Healthcare or Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Nursing, Biology & Life Sciences, Economics, or a related field
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for Visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Minimum three years of analytics experience with handling, analyzing, and evaluating large data sets, using at least one of the following tools: Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Alteryx, and/or Data Warehouse management
