In our continued transformation from a real estate company to a customer experience company, we are seeking a Manager, Reporting and Business Analytics who will develop, generate, and analyze all facets of operational reporting utilizing various Business Intelligence (BI) software. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Data Warehouse Reporting & Analytics with geographic flexibility to work remotely offered by Tanger’s hub-and-spoke approach to a modern Teams-driven workplace.
About the Role:
As the Manager, Reporting and Business Analytics, you will conceptualize new descriptive and prescriptive data models and build solutions to help improve reporting and drive operational efficiencies. You will work with leadership, Subject Matter Experts (SME) and internal/external technical teams to design and build reporting tools that support decision making across all teams.

How you will contribute to what we do:
  • Partner with analysts, IT and stakeholders to build scalable solutions to deliver on business goals
  • Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes while automating and simplifying self-service support
  • Propose and create daily, weekly, and monthly business metrics for management reviews
  • Partner with other teams to support all data governance initiatives
  • Identify, develop, and obtain leadership support for, and implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the automation and standardization of data requirements
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to better understand the organization and areas of improvement
  • Assists in special projects and/or performs other duties as assigned.
  • Interact daily with other disciplines within the organization, such as property accounting, legal, AR, leasing, marketing, operations, and the senior management team.
  • Maintain data integrity, perform QA Audits, and diligently troubleshoot issues
  • Optimize decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format (data modeling)
  • Foster teamwork between other areas of the organization and foster key relationships with internal and external customers to provide outstanding customer service
  • Create and maintain documentation including report requirements/specifications, data model design determination, test scripts and user manuals
  • Work effectively with all areas of the business to identify required dashboard visualizations and associated calculations to build dashboards
  • Deep dive into large data sets to answer key business questions, including using SQL, Excel, and other data manipulation languages
  • Communicate progress, status, and issues to champions and business leaders. Seek, share, and institutionalize best practices
About You:
  • You have commercial real estate experience.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics or related field. You have four (4) plus years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Data Analyst or related process improvement roles.
  • You have two (2) plus years of experience in creating descriptive, prescriptive, and/or predictive reporting and KPI content.
  • You possess strong operational business understanding that impacts the business decisions of internal/external stakeholders.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • You are capable of maintaining confidentiality and act with personal, professional, and behavioral integrity.
  • You have strong analytical skills; strong project execution and project management skills; ability to prioritize.

  • You are knowledgeable of problem-solving methods (Agile/Scrum, Lean, PDCA or DMAIC) and decision-making techniques.
  • You have a general knowledge of business performance practices (Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Total Quality Management, Balanced Scorecard).
  • You can focus on results and desired outcomes and how best to achieve them, high level of initiative and strong follow through.
  • You demonstrate mature and solid decision-making capabilities resulting in positive and productive outcomes.
  • You are proficient in SQL, Microsoft Excel, Power BI and statistical analysis tools to perform deep dive analysis.
