We are looking for a Product Leader for our Enterprise Products Technology team who is imaginative, collaborative and truly passionate around making lives better for engineers. This role provides the opportunity to see how your products and investment decisions transform our engineering community.

The ideal candidate :

• Brings Product Management expertise: you build product strategies, operationalize product metrics, and build business cases
• Energized by engaging with engineers: you bring empathy and understanding to internal and external customer and user needs, including the challenges engineers face day in and day out
• Excited by new technology: you use it, you learn new tech; ideally in your past you built it
• Comfortable working in grey space: you excel at working through ambiguity and the change management that comes with establishing teams to drive clear, actionable outcomes
• Excellent communicator: you are an effective communicator and storyteller, and are comfortable conversing with engineering teams, stakeholders, and senior leaders

Responsibilities include:

• Influencing senior stakeholders to use our products and sharing with them the outcomes we are enabling to strengthen investment
• Engaging customers directly through a variety of channels to serve as the voice of the customer internally- identifying new capabilities, defining product features, and working closely with development teams to get those features incorporated
• Operationalizing product metrics for the products you own and building the business case for new investment
• Taking a customer-back and evidence based approach to defining, executing, and delivering a product roadmap and product strategy
• Working in a cross-functional group - closely partnering with engineering, design, operations, finance and executive teams to bring a product to life
• Drive the product management practice within the organization, defining expectations and commitments.
• Working with technical customers of a large platform at the center of the company

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
• At least 3 years of experience in product management, product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or Master’s degree
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 3+ years experience delivering Software as a Service (SaaS) or web API-driven products to technical customers
• 3+ years experience in human-centered product discovery methods, such as design thinking and service design

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York City:

$160,200 - $182,800 for Manager, Product Manager

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
