Job Description

Our manufacturing client is seeking a Continuous Improvement Quality Manager to join their leadership team and assist the business during a high growth mode. We are seeking a hands on Lean/Continuous Improvement professional to lead Kaizen, implement Lean manufacturing principles and drive change. A candidate who is able to utilize Continuous Improvement and Quality data to drive change from an operational standpoint will succeed in this position.


This position will have 5-6 direct reports and is positioned to grow the team to 10+ and take on multi-site responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of what "good" looks like from experience with a large organization while also having experience in a less structured manufacturing environment and enjoys being hands-on and wearing multiple hats. The Continuous Improvement Quality manager will report to the Director of Operations and work closely with executives to strategize and develop long-term plans and support business growth.

Responsibilities:

· Leads Kaizen and drives continuous improvement toward defect-free processes ensuring customer satisfaction and the achievement of business results

· Responsible for the assessment and improvement of employee capabilities, processes, and tools that are critical to the product development process

· Leads the quality improvement goals and objectives

· Leads and coordinates the use of a common continuous improvement project selection and priority setting process

· Leads and collaborates across the Business Unit on Continuous Improvement & Quality projects

· Leads implementation and management of Quality systems

· Leads development opportunities to meet the needs of both the individual and the business

· Identify strengths and opportunities for improvement

Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred

· 5+ years' experience Manufacturing Environment, preferable within a Process Industry

· Experience in Quality management function, understanding how to utilize data to drive operational change and Continuous Improvement

· 5+ years of work experience in Continuous Improvement (driving change, leading Kaizen and meeting/exceeding KPIs)

· Ability to motivate and energize the team for quality improvement through strong interpersonal and leadership skills

· Ability to balance in fast growth environment and complex manufacturing operations

· Ability to build strong partnerships and drive high level of collaboration across the organization including Executives, leadership team and cross functional team
