Job Description

Position Purpose Responsible for managing technical project managers who oversee technology projects to ensure completion on time and within budget. Has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, vendors, and contractual deliverables for projects managed by direct reports. Monitors multiple projects, evaluates and manages risk, coaches and manages project managers. Incorporates quality measures and standards to project delivery. Must be able to manage projects and backup direct reports.


Manages project managers in all phases of the project life cycle


Allocates appropriate resources and adjusts plans to meet project needs


Oversees project risks to ensure delivery of business goals


Leads change and executes on IT objectives through oversight of key IT stakeholders and owners


Manages the hiring and training of new and existing staff, conducts performance reviews, and provides leadership, technical guidance and coaching


Shares knowledge and develops staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of business issues and best practices


Develops and communicates organizational objectives; inspires and motivates team members to achieve results


Performs other duties as assigned


Complies with all policies and standards


Education/Experience Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. Technical Skills Experience with Root Cause Analysis; Stakeholder Management; Vendor Relationship Management required Experience with Microsoft Office required Experience with Agile Management; Project Management required Experience with Other developing, monitoring and managing project budgets and schedules. required Knowledge of Agile Management; Scrum (Software Development); Software Development Life Cycle required Soft Skills Ability to lead/manage others Collaboration and team building skills Effectively coaches and delivers constructive feedback Instills commitment to organizational goals Ability to communicate and make recommendations to upper management Effective conflict management skills Develops and delivers effective presentations Demonstrated negotiation skills License/Certification Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI preferred SAFe Scrum Master Certification preferred
