In Real Estate and Development (RE&D), we don’t sit back and let things happen, we make things happen, and we do this in service to all Apple employees and customers. Our team is a diverse and forward-thinking group that manages Apple’s workplaces and workplace services. We develop and manage Apple’s global real estate portfolio, lead all related capital construction projects, provide outstanding facilities and site services, develop and lead sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of all Apple facilities, including commute and renewable energy programs, and do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of all Apple personnel, facilities, and customers in our facilities around the world. We are seeking an experienced, collaborative and highly motivated senior leader with a demonstrated focus in the strategic management of global real estate transactions and negotiations, with a successful track record of delivery high quality results at the best value to join our team and oversee our Global Real Estate transactions team.

  • Experience leading a global real estate transactions team tasked with delivering exceptional results in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and supervisory skills, including experience working with all levels of an organization and ability to handle customer service issues in a professional and positive manner
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with establishing benchmarking standards, Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and tracking metrics to enable data-driven decision making
  • Detailed understanding of all standard lease terminology and acquisition agreement provisions
  • Demonstrated ability to bring cross-functional teams together within and outside the Real Estate & Development team, including Project Management, Legal, Space Planning, Finance, Corporate Communications, and Environment Health & Safety to ensure standard methodologies and continual process improvement
  • Strong financial modeling skills and solid understanding of real estate financial metrics
  • 12+ years experience working as a Global Real Estate Transactions Manager, with a demonstrated focus in the leadership and management of domestic and international real estate property acquisition and disposal activities, composed of multiple projects in various stages of planning, due diligence, negotiation, and execution through implementation.
  • Extraordinary writing skills, visual story-telling skills, presentation skills, and attention to detail
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with third-party vendors, including landlords and government agencies
  • Thinks critically and creatively about how to regularly improve and streamline process and operations
  • Well versed in driving all aspects of due diligence to mitigate risk
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring including fostering collaboration, continuous performance feedback and motivating the team to develop and apply tools for more efficient operations and improved customer service
  • Capability to handle and resolve issues quickly and efficiently applying both quantitative and qualitative data points

Description

The Global Real Estate Transactions Manager will oversee a team of seasoned professionals who are responsible for negotiating transactions in varying regions, and, as a managing practitioner, will also be responsible for directly managing a portion of the portfolio. This role will report directly into the Senior Director Real Estate, Space Planning and Site Services.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree required; MRED preferred.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $194,000 and $291,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
