The team and the role


The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization supports our business, market and enabling area leaders by providing world class financial support. FP&A is made up of advisors who are influential in decision-making and partner with finance leaders to drive meaningful strategic and financial outcomes.


Within FP&A, the FBP organization works with business leaders to translate strategy into actionable plans, leverage in-depth analysis to provide the story behind the numbers and respond to business changes with agility. The FBP Manager role that supports the Consulting Management Reporting team and specific responsibilities and qualifications for this role are outlined below.


Work you'll do


Core Responsibilities


  • Manage and execute on special projects related to Finance and Operations
  • Partner and collaborate with other parts of Consulting National Office (Office of the CEO, Quality and Risk Management, Talent, etc.) to understand Consulting Leadership priorities, areas of focus, and to help gain input develop/build content for deliverables and projects
  • Drive FP&A and broader Finance & Administration (FA) internal change programs focused on driving efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Develop and deliver standard management reporting deliverables for Consulting Leadership to communicate key insights and inform on actions; this includes, but not limited to, financial results, cost of quality (COQ) and risk activity, and balance sheet (credits, WIP, receivables)
  • Be familiar with core FP&A processes (planning, forecasting, investments) and how the outputs of these processes inform key messages and insights for Consulting Leadership
  • Synthesize, interpret, and challenge data to develop meaningful insights that inform recommendations


Other Responsibilities


  • Develop timelines, milestones, and metrics to effectively plan and execute projects; collaborate cross-functionally with firm leadership, Business leadership, FP&A teams (e.g., Finance Business Partners), and additional teams (e.g., Talent, Strategy) and inform stakeholders of project progress
  • Provide leadership, mentorship and guidance to staff to support professional development and advancement towards career goals


Qualifications


Required:
  • Financial reporting and analysis
  • Advanced understanding of data visualization tools
  • Data analysis, management, and visualization
  • Work with senior leadership
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related subject
  • Minimum of 7+ years of relevant Finance experience
  • Project management
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Quality and risk management
  • Business and process improvement
  • Planning and forecasting
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in the following areas:
  • Develop action plans
  • Advanced knowledge of financial systems
  • Strategy development


Preferred:


  • Experience in a professional services firm
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Advanced education degree


For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,425 to $159165.


You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
