Description


Reporting directly to the Vice President Growth & Strategic Planning, the Manager, Commercial Activation, is responsible for planning, communicating, and tracking commercial activation tactical plans. This position requires a working knowledge of the retail environment, DSD RTM/Bottlers, and the consumer/shopper landscape, with a demonstrated acumen in managing complex projects across multiple stakeholders, driving brand awareness and retail execution, and enhancing internal/external customer relationships.

The Manager, Commercial Activation is a critical conduit in collaborating across functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and finance to ensure successful planning, communication, and activation of Celsius Commercial programs. The goal is to drive the CELSIUS brand portfolio look of success and execution excellence in the market. This role requires strong project management skills, ability to influence, and capability to navigate cross-functionally at all levels.


You are a collaborative and self-driven commercial specialist that will play a meaningful role in evolving our business and driving commercial success. You will develop go-to-market tactical plans with cross-functional partners, focused on increasing revenue, margin, and growing market share. You can lead and influence team members who are not your direct reports or in your department. You bring excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, are very organized, can manage multiple priorities at once, and can translate marketplace insights into viable commercial tactical plans.


Responsibilities


  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of commercial program activations through benchmarking and scorecards. Track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as foot traffic, sales uplift, and customer feedback, to evaluate the success of commercially activated programs.
  • Spend Efficiencies: Support brand teams in recommending program budget, assess the program allocation across channels/customers and re-allocate funding based on performance.
  • Market and Executional Insights: Stay abreast of marketplace trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices. Conduct market reviews, gather retailer insights, and analyze data to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks. Utilize market intelligence to inform commercial activation strategies and decision making.
  • Commercialization Lead: Act as conduit in the organization between Marketing and Commercial Operating stakeholders to plan, align, and communicate activation initiatives for use at retail and with DSD Bottlers. Coordinate Operating Plans and Playbook development.
  • Strategy Activation: Collaborate with the broader commercial operations stakeholders to ensure the execution of key brand initiatives into channel commercial plans, playbooks, and Looks of Success.
  • Commercial Communication: Interface with broader commercial team to manage any issues requiring alignment, supporting delivery of brand plans across channels. Has ability to take a cross-channel view to ensure coherency / consistency.


Qualifications


  • Must have sales and/or marketing experience.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams, external partners, and bottlers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute commercial and channel strategies specifically.
  • Excellent understanding of consumer and shopper behavior, retail marketplace dynamics, and program management experience applicable to the food and beverage industry.
  • Leadership abilities to guide and motivate a team of cross-functional professionals.
  • Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in commercial planning, channel strategy or marketing roles within the food and beverage industry, with a specific focus on program planning and activations.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial planning principles, strategies, and tactics.
  • Proficiency in market data analysis, and performance measurement.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Result-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
