This position is designed to be an overall development position within the bank.Will be put through a rotation in several different departments of the bank which could include Mortgage, Commercial, Operations, Genoa Financial, Collections, Credit, Accounting, and Retail/Branch Management.Will be responsible for learning and understanding all position in which he/she is placed.
Essential duties & responsibilitiesCommercial:
·Makes and services commercial loans within assigned lending limits as determined by the loan policy.
·Participates in commercial lending decisions in accordance with loan policy and is an active member of the Loan Officer Committee.
·Performs other customer services as required to manage a commercial loan portfolio, including collection efforts.
·Calls on new customers to generate loan and deposit business.
Retail/Branch Management:
·Oversees deposit operations, opens new accounts and is a consumer loan officer.
·Supervises teller staff and maintains quality customer service.
·Opens and closes the branch and abides by all security policies and procedures.
·Helps develop and manage branch budget.
·Coordinates facilities management and general upkeep of branch.
Genoa Financial:
·Generates new prospects to open new markets and develop new business avenues.
·Establishes and maintains relationships with customers.
·Analyzes financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies, products, and services to help customers meet their financial objectives.
·Offers customer financial products which include IRA’s, Mutual Funds, Stocks, Bonds, 529 College Savings Plans and Annuities.
·Develops referrals from current customers and exploits cross-selling opportunities.
·Forecasts and sets quarterly and annual quotas and goals.
Collections:
·Collects delinquent loans including installments, commercial, mortgage and credit cards.
·Assists with recovery efforts including legal referrals.
·Helps to maintain the bank’s collateral position.
Mortgage Origination:
·Serves as the customer’s primary contact for all mortgages, refinances or construction loans.
·Completes the loan applications and obtains the proper documentation required for underwriting.
·Ensures the loan is processed upon approval.
·Establishes and maintains strong customer relations.
Accounting:
·Performs a variety of routine accounting clerical duties according to existing procedures, methods and systems.
·Responsible for posting and reconciling general ledger accounts, investment security tasks, accounts payables, purchasing, as well as a variety of reporting responsibilities.
Operations:
·Performs all loan and deposit operations tasks including processing debit and credit card applications, boarding loans to the core system, completes ACH and wire processing, performs electronic banking functions and files and scans documents as needed.
Credit:
·Conducts credit investigations and analyzes credit information pertaining to loans.
·Investigates all available sources of credit and financial information.
·Analyzes financial statements and related material.
·Prepares summaries, presents facts, and offers opinions concerning credit worthiness.
·Provides credit information and references for customers, loan officers, or other agencies as requested.Ensures that all credit files include current financial statements, agency reports, etc.
·Assists in all areas of the bank as needed.
·Attends monthly meetings specifically related to rotation.
·Maintains compliance with all banking laws, acts, regulations and bank policies and procedures.
·Any other duties and/or projects as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS·Education/Specialized License(s): Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
·Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in management, lending, new account and teller experience or a Bachelor’s Degree.
·Specific Skills: Proficient computer skills; above average communication skills; strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
·Supervisory Responsibility: Some based on rotation.
·Working Conditions: Monday-Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm including some Saturday’s with additional hours required as necessary or assigned; some travel may be required.
