Job Description
PRINCIPAL DUTIES


  • Completes daily inspection check list.
  • Operates equipment to assist in maintenance and repairs.
  • Substitutes for Asphalt Plant Operator as required.
  • Performs daily and scheduled maintenance of asphalt plants. Performs preventive maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Follows OSHA, safety and Company regulations and policies.
  • Lubricates bearings, electrical motors, etc. in asphalt plants.
  • Assists Asphalt Plant Operator in daily inventory.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Principal Requirements


  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • MSHA certified or previous miner certification preferred
  • Work Hours: Flexible, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to travel interisland.
  • Valid driver's license and favorable traffic abstract preferred.
  • Capable of multiple dexterity, climbing, crouching, crawling, lying under equipment and lifting or moving up to 75 pounds
  • Minimum 5 years applicable experience/training/combination preferred
  • Knowledge of basic electrical functions, plumbing, welding/ cutting, belts and bearings helpful.

We primarily employ carpenters, laborers, sand operating engineers. We are signatory to collective bargaining agreements with the following unions listed below and are subject to the hiring rules of each collective bargaining agreement. We anticipate hiring for projects on Oahu, Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai as work becomes available and will be contacting the respective union to fill these positions.
