We areseeking Maintenance Technicians at the following levels-


Maintenance I - 1-3 years of maintenance experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. An earned certification in 3-phase electrical systems is highly desired. This level is first shift 7am-3:30pm.


Maintenance II - 4+ years of maintenance preferably in a manufacturing environment. Must have electrical certification or another trade certification such as HVAC or welding.This level is second shift 1-9:30pm.


nd skills to perform both routine and extensive maintenance and repair of the facilities and equipment at our chemical manufacturing plant.Electrical knowledge is required; welding is a plus.Business necessity will require mandatory overtime, weekend hours, working during holidays, after hours call-ins, and overall work hours to be adjusted.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, adjusted according to experience and training:


  • Document repairs and maintenance performed when completed.
  • Install and maintain piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment including but not limited to gauges, valves, pressure regulators, etc.
  • Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain production equipment such as vacuum pumps, drum turners, mixers, boilers, steam systems, compressors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.
  • Maintain and oversee operation of the fire system.
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA standards and company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, hot work permits, LOTO, PPE, fall protection, confined space, etc.
  • Assist in the planning and installation of new equipment, piping, electrical, etc.
  • Perform basic carpentry and general cleaning duties involved in building and grounds maintenance, plus work outdoors in all weather conditions e.g. snow removal.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,& ABILITIES:


  • Must have practical experience operating hand and power tools, machine tools, pressure indicators.
  • Work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot, find root cause, and solve problems.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with all levels.Ability to effectively communicate with others by speaking, reading, and writing English.
  • Keep tools and work areas organized and free of hazards and debris.
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record is required to drive the company vehicle when necessary.
  • Chemical processing industry and related equipment experience (mixers, pumps, steam systems, fabrication, electrical, welding) is preferred.
  • Plumbing and pipe-fitting skills are a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in industrial maintenance environment.
  • Mathematical skills are required.
  • Dependable, reliable attendance and punctuality is essential.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. is required. Associate's degree, certificate, or apprenticeship training in a related field from a vocational/technical school or college is highly preferred.Combination of education and related experience will be considered.
  • High attention to detail with accurate& timely completion of all required projects.
  • Ability to safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks, such as forklift, scissors lift, etc.
  • General computer skills are used to access company data, such as intranet, AMMS and online employee training requirements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to reach with both hands and arms, and use hands and fingers. Talking and hearing is required. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to be medically cleared and fit-tested to wear a respirator in order to perform some duties. Capability to work in confined spaces.


ENVIRONMENT


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to high precarious places; working outside in all weather conditions, e.g.extreme cold orheat.


The noise level in the work environment depending on the area can be quiet to moderate to loud.
