POSITION SUMMARY

The position will function as a subject matter expert for equipment maintenance, trouble shooting and repair. It supports production maintenance equipment as well as utilities at the Davie site for 24x7 manufacturing operations.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Support execution of equipment related deviations and approvals.
  • Perform technical documents, SOP updates and change controls.
  • Responsible for multiple small projects related to new equipment, upgrades to existing equipment, facility modifications, and utility infrastructure.
  • Perform automated equipment troubleshooting.
  • Support to equipment, utilities and process troubleshooting / repairs.
  • Responsible for meeting planned/scheduled maintenance activities and tracking of those activities in CMMS.
  • Responsible for the Environmental Monitoring System (CEMS) operation and maintenance.
  • Provides ongoing support to maintenance staff to solve complex problems, understand and coach failure modes, and prepare technical solutions on facility controls equipment.
  • Will implement safe work practices and process controls to ensure a safe operation of equipment and facility. May include job hazard analysis, failure fault trees, and risk assessments to drive a preventable injury work place and continuously safe process.
  • Support and execution of corrective actions (CAPAs) assigned to engineering/maintenance department.
  • Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
  • Execute planned maintenance and corrective work orders.
  • Responsible for the Thermal oxidizers operation, maintenance and reporting.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Electrical experience or certification a plus
  • Project management experience a plus.
  • 3 years Automation experience.
  • Compliance related documentation a plus
  • Experience on using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems to track the scheduling and execution of maintenance activities.
  • 5 years of experience on preventive maintenance, equipment and process troubleshooting.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience or Associate Degree with 8 years’ experience within pharmaceutical or related manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of years and experience.
  • Validation experience a plus.
  • Operational Excellence a plus.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Reading and ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Management skills to lead a team of maintenance technicians and meet department goals and expectations
  • Understands manufacturing equipment functional parts including control systems, mechanical components, and electrical power such as gear boxes, electro-mechanical components, VFDs, electric motors, sensors and instruments.
  • Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot hardware and software used on SCADA systems.
