Job Description
Overview:
Responsible for overseeing repair and preventive maintenance performed on equipment and facilities as well as related administrative duties by performing the following duties.
Major Position Responsibilities:
  • Resolves problems and discrepancies with jobs and/or interacts with management to amend the issue.
  • Completes requisitions for new equipment orders and/or repairs equipment as appropriate.
  • Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies. Purchases needed supplies in accordance with department requisition guidelines.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
  • Oversees and performs various preventative maintenance operations and/or repairs to the facility in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
    • Delegates work orders and instructions to maintenance staff in a timely manner.
    • Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies. Purchases needed supplies in accordance with department requisition guidelines.

    • Provides weekly status reports to management regarding the completion of work orders and provides estimates on additional manpower and equipment needs.
    • Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, initiatives, resources and timelines to meet company goals and targets.
  • Requires an expert understanding of maintenance and engineering processes and strategies.
  • Strong time management skills required.
  • Experience handling vendors and contractors.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work with MS-Office applications/software.
  • Experience working in a union environment
  • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a team oriented environment.
    • Vocational degree or comparable work experience of minimum of 5-7 years of experience in related field.
    • Experience handling vendors and contractors.
    • Requires an expert understanding of maintenance and engineering processes and strategies.
    • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects, initiatives, resources and timelines to meet company goals and targets.
    • Strong time management skills required.
    • Ability to work with MS-Office applications/software.
  • Candidate must be willing to work flexible hours when needed
  • Vocational degree or comparable work experience of minimum of 5-7 years of experience in related field.
