Job Description
Job Purpose/Overview


At Tata Consumer US, our Maintenance team is responsible for improving and sustaining world class Manufacturing Maintenance standards, systems and procedures that will drive the necessary activities required to achieve the site’s vision of becoming the ”best in class” in the USA as well as a supplier and employer of choice.


This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and documentation of maintenance assets and repair of equipment, ordering, receiving, and storing parts. Maintain and coordinate maintenance contractors and vendors based on service planned and unplanned service visits.


Responsibilities


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Conduct monthly fire extinguisher inspections.
  • Serve as a member of site Safety Committee.
  • Manages spare part and safety supply inventories including stock levels versus PM program demand, timely orders, receipts, control of and safekeeping of inventory assets.
  • Prepare and maintain reports of expenditures, work logs, inventory, and maintenance history of equipment. Supports budgetary goals. Estimates and tracks project costs.
  • Request and secure materials, equipment and supplies needed to complete jobs in a timely manner. Evaluate material requirements and prices, supports negotiation of best values from vendors, obtains purchase approvals and arranges for purchase as needed.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance scheduling, PM completion rates (on time and 100% complete), technical PM feedback (to drive PM Improvements), and managing the purchase of spare parts and tools.
  • Determine fast moving or emergency standby-by items to be stocked.
  • Plan and organize daily maintenance work assignments and projects.
  • Coordinate work assignments with internal/external partners and contractors as necessary.
  • Arrange for snow removal and grounds maintenance.
  • Schedule maintenance and repair of tools and equipment. Orders, receipts, parts and safety supplies inventories. Create and maintain spare parts lists and assembles equipment / PM spare parts kits.
  • Obtain purchase approval and develop stock load and reorder points.


Job Specifications/Qualifications


Education & Professional Qualifications


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • One-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school.


Knowledge / Experience


  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and CMMS.
  • Experience in developing a comprehensive TPM system.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety rules and best practices.
  • Ability to read manufacturer catalogues and parts lists and accurate identify parts.
  • Experience in maintenance coordination and ordering parts.
  • Collaborating Skills
  • Ability to safely lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely operate forklift.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with maintenance and production teams to create well organized programs.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
