Maintenance Person - Roane County Quarry

Rogers Group is currently seeking an experienced individual to fill a position as Plant Maintenance Worker for our Quarry operation in ROANE COUNTY, TN . This individual will be responsible for performing fixed plant repairs, perform pre-operational inspections on the crushing plant, recommending plant improvements, diagnosing, and assisting with various production duties as needed. The successful candidate for this role will have a strong emphasis on safety, be a self-starter and willing to learn new tasks, will have responsibilities that include but not limited to:

• Must be able to help with daily plant greasing and housekeeping around the plant.
• Ability to run or learn how to run various pieces of mobile equipment (skid-steer, front end loader, water truck, etc.)
• Self-motivated and safety oriented are a must
• Welding and torch skills are strongly preferred
• Able to diagnose and repair issues on the crushing plant including conveyors, screens, crushers, etc.
• Ability to lead a small crew through maintenance tasks

Skills:

• Mechanical aptitude/ability to diagnose and perform basic plant repairs as needed
• Ability to read and comprehend equipment maintenance manuals
• Have problem solving mindset, understanding how to repair and prevent or prolong
• Ability to operate a man lift, telehandler, skid steer
• Previous maintenance experience preferred
• Experience in welding, cutting Preferred
