Job Description
We are now offering vacation credit for relevant experience, with the ability to start with up to 4 weeks vacation! This position is a swing shift position.


Pay Rate $34.92/hour


Effective 6/05/2023, the pay rate will increase to $35.80/hour

Successful electrician candidates will be primarily responsible for the construction and repair of electrical circuits needed to maintain an efficient, productive, and safe manufacturing environment.


Responsibilities include performing a full range of electrical and electronics duties including, but not limited to


  • Minimum 4 years experience as an electrician in an industrial setting
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation devices and related signals (4-20ma &, 0-10vdc)
  • Long term standing
  • Candidates must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and/or swing shifts as required Monday through Sunday.
  • Journeyman’s card or equivalent technical degree
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Heavy lifting, pushing, pulling
  • Other duties as required.
  • PLC’s, and control systems; conduit installation
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Electrical preventative maintenance
  • Travel between three facilities (all within 4 miles) as needed.
  • Control panel construction
  • Troubleshooting industrial AC & DC electronic drives


A background check, pre-employment physical with a drug and alcohol screen is required.


Qualified candidates will have to pass an Electrician Test performed at Fox Valley Technical College.

Position Overview


The Lead Supervisor has overall responsibility for the execution of schedules and process, which provides an on-time and quality product in a safe manner through the coordination of shop floor employees. In addition, the Lead Supervisor is responsible for executing the improvement agenda that provides development of supervisors and shop floor employees resulting in quantifiable improvement in our order execution and internal relationships. The position generally works Monday-Friday 6A-2P; however, weekend coverage is required on rotation (every 4th week).


  • Focus on improving the development of employees and enhancing system improvement in the areas of safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost.
  • The employee is required to wear safety glasses and metatarsal guarded steel-toed shoes while working in production areas.
  • Identifying and resolving issues confronting the manufacturing facility.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements of this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Organize and assign work, instructing, guiding, and assisting employees in the attainment of production, quality, and safety standards.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain compliance with work rules, offering encouragement and/or issuing violation warnings and disciplinary actions, as required.
  • Requires good communication skills to coordinate production operations and communicate company objectives and operation procedures to employees.
  • Administer the labor agreement in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Provide support for Luvata Appleton initiatives.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and may be loud when working in proximity to production equipment.
  • Set shop floor expectations in the areas of safety/hygiene, housekeeping, on-time delivery, quality, productivity, and information accuracy and flow.
  • Attend training classes and/or seminars to improve production and management related skills.
  • Maintain an adequate and efficient workforce in accordance with skill requirements and work levels and production schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate supervision, shop floor employees, and manufacturing production. Maintain product quality, economical manufacturing costs, and production schedules consistent with company manufacturing objectives and goals.
  • Requires 5+ years of related supervisory or technical experience in production operations.
  • The employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts, and in proximity to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works in non-weather related wet, humid conditions, non-weather related extreme heat, and in proximity to toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Develop training plans for supervision, review supervisors performance.
  • Ensure the use of safety devices and equipment, supervising plant housekeeping and continually being alert for hazardous conditions and unsafe practices. Complete accident reports and follow-up on accident log entries.
  • Serve as an advocate for supervision and shop floor employees and ensure effective shop floor communication.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement and drive them to resolution.
  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment such as a personal computer, telephone, etc. Ability to operate a variety of hand tools including a wire cutter.
  • Diagnose production equipment malfunctions, expediting and coordinating repairs to reduce production downtime, soliciting assistance from other groups when required. Assist operators in troubleshooting production equipment problems and solving production difficulties.
  • Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma. It is desirable for the employee to obtain additional training related to supervisory duties.
