MACHINE OPERATORS

White Castle Distributing – Vandalia, OH

Non-Exempt Position

Shift Hours: 1st Shift - 5:30am to 2:00pm, 2nd Shift - 2:00pm to 10:30pm Mon-Sat

(hours may change based on the needs of the plant)

This position works throughout the entire manufacturing operation and works closely with coworkers to properly operate and make adjustments to the meat and cheese slicers, and other specialized processing equipment. It is required that the Team Member in this position be a team player and communicate with co-workers, including maintenance, Supervisors, and Quality Control, in a professional and cooperative manner.

What we are looking for:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required;
• Good reading and writing skills;
• Ability to work all positions on the production line as needed and assigned;
• Team-oriented and good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Experience in a factory atmosphere working around production equipment is preferred;

What you will do:

• Operate equipment properly to maximize production and ensure safe and quality product;
• Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and areas around the equipment;
• Prepare documentation.
• Install assigned machinery on-line including assemble, disassemble, and operation of assigned machinery;
• Add raw materials to machinery when in operation and identifying possible problems with machinery before they cause downtime;

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to wear company specified garments and PPEs and work in temperate conditions (hot or cold);
• Ability to stand for long periods of times with occasional bending, twisting, and turning;
• Must be able to lift between 50 to 75 pounds on a regular basis that are bulky;
• Will be expected to maneuver beef log carts and finished product pallets that can weigh around 1500 and 1200 pounds;
• Must be able to keep up with the production rate and work all positions of the line.

• Be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Lift objects weighing up to 50-75 lbs on a regular basis
