Lpn Or Fellow (Alexandria Hospital)

The LPN OR Fellow functions primarily in surgeries and invasive procedures for all age groups of patients for the perioperative and procedural areas; functions in other areas based on competency level within and outside the perioperative and procedural areas. The LPN OR Fellow will communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others while having respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines. This role will use an integrated approach toward achieving desired patient outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in lifelong learning, and will demonstrate a knowledge of quality improvement initiatives and participate in performance improvement activities. Practicing under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and preceptor to achieve desired patient outcomes.

What You Need:

• Certifications: BLS Certification (from the American Heart Association)
• Licensure: Eligible for licensing in the commonwealth of Virginia as a LPN
• Skills: Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills and computer skills required.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN school.
