63 hours per pay period

Certified Medical Assistant is:

  • Directly responsible to the physician-employer who hires him/her or any other physician appointed supervisor in the facility
  • Also working closely with all members of the Professional Team, Medical Staff, patients, and their families
  • A multi-skilled health professional (MSHP) who works interdependently with other health care professionals to provide quality health care to the patients
  • Educated and trained to perform both administrative and clinical skills in the medical care environment

Access to protected health information is limited to the minimum necessary to perform the duties of the job.

Qualifications

  • Must have a good understanding and work within a shared decision-making philosophy
  • Medical Assistant Certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • Must have good communication skills and work with an interdisciplinary team approach
