Job Description


  • Sigmatech is currently seeking a Logistics Support Specialist at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL


Your Role


In your role as a Logistics Support Specialist, you will serve as Multi-functional Logistician responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, managing and reviewing a full range of property accountability functions IAW Army Regulations, policies, and procedures. As a member of a warehouse or production team, you will use your experience with and knowledge of the Logistics Modernizations Program (LMP) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) and Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) to ensure traceability and asset accountability across a range of activities associated with supply chain management, maintenance, and repair planning. You will conduct cyclic inventories of your section, working to establish 100% accuracy. Your position will report to the Section Lead and is one part of a multi team effort to support different requirements.


Primary Duties Will Include (but Not Limited To)


  • Extract data from various STAMIS systems to create a dashboard report to the Accountable Officer.
  • Assist in providing effective life cycle logistics support and guidance relating to procurements as well as Total Package Fielding, Major End Item and Secondary End Item.
  • Assist in establishing priorities and plans for the organization by analyzing mission assignments and establishing program objectives for assigned functional area.
  • Must be diverse and able to fill other roles or duties as needed, or assigned.
  • Oversee shipments of government property per customer direction.
  • Compile and record production data to compare records and reports on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.
  • Perform daily system of record requirements and execute the correct transactions to support the Item Managers request.


Required Experience


  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of GCSS-A, LMP, and DPAS
  • Ability to plan, organize and re-prioritize work to meet changing deadlines
  • Must have Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to solo lift 25 pounds to shoulder height safely, and team lift 50 pounds safely.
  • Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent and at least 4 year's related logistics experience.
  • Experience working with established processes and procedures, training, assigning and checking work for other logisticians


Desired Skills:
  • 2 years' experience safely operating material handling equipment (Forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
